Comments: The pictures are great, but they need to be compressed. They take far too long to load, and would look just as good at one-eighth the size they are now. Keep up the good work!

Comments: Was trying to find info and/or maps for trails in Cheaha as I was going hiking/camping 12/26 and has been several years since last outing there (remember very little). Hike started near Cheaha general store and ended at Caney Head Shelter where we camped out for night. Will probably do same thing .... just wanted t o check out info via internet. Would be interested in becoming member.

Comments: I've been on the net for about a year, and am always looking for a site of interest. I was born and raised in Alabama, and so were my parents. Before my parents though it the family "line" gets a little fuzzy. There are only about 20 COHELEY'S in the USA, and I have no idea where our name originated. Maybe someone at Auburn could find out. (I tried to not leave a comment but I was forced to. So now you guys may have to be proactive and help me find out where my family name came from. Thank you,) me

Comments: I am really impressed with your web site. It has renewed my interest in hiking and the conservation of our natural resources. I have hiked most of the trails in the Sipsey Wilderness & Monte Sano, and some privately owned trails in Jackson County. I am unfamiliar with the Pinhoti trail and Talledega National Forest and am very interested in exploring that area.

Comments: I plan to hike the entire AT within the next year or two and I am now considering Ala. as the starting point rather than Springer Mountain in northeast Ga. I would like to maybe be one of the first to do the whole trail including the new 230 miles added on from Alabama. My mother and one brother were born in Ala. so, even tho I am a full fledged Floridian, I do have some strong ties to Ala. I still have many relatives in that state.

Comments: This is a excellent site.I enjoy hiking the pinhoti trail and I am very much concerned with the logging goin on in the Talledega National Forest.I want it to stop! Is there a map of the Pinhoti Trail as it exists now.I have the old map, but it does not show the recent additions.Thank you.
